Folk singer Shaukat Ali Khan, who died at the age of 76, was buried in sighs and sobs.
Shaukat Ali, popularly known as Ranjha of folk singing in the subcontinent, lost his life last morning after a long battle with liver disease.
A large number of locals including family members and relatives attended the funeral prayers and burial. On this occasion, Shaukat Ali’s sons said that his father was the face of Pakistan all over the world.
It is noteworthy that no showbiz star government or opposition leader except actor Rashid Mahmood and stage actor Nawaz Anjum attended the funeral prayers of the well-known singer.
Actor Shaukat Ali has left behind a widow, three sons and two daughters. Shaukat Ali was also awarded Pride of Performance including Voice of Punjab.
