Riyadh will now be able to see and kiss the Black Stone sitting at home.

According to a foreign news agency, Dr. Abdul Rehman Al-Sudais, Chief Executive Officer of Haramain Sharifeen, has said that this initiative has been introduced by Digital Exhibition in collaboration with Khadim Haramain Sharifeen Hajj and Umrah Research Institute under Umm Al-Qura University.

Technology aims to provide a real-world-like environment for the Black Stone to be viewed, kissed and felt virtually.

He said that the purpose of this is that those who look at the Black Stone through modern technology will find themselves in front of the Kaaba in the Masjid al-Haram with their whole being and will be able to fulfill their dream in this regard. The Saudi government, with the help of modern technology, is presenting a fictitious scene in such a way that it is supposed to be real, while the Black Stone and its surroundings are being made possible by virtual systems.

Saudi Arabia released new images of the Black Stone up close in May this year. The images taken using state-of-the-art technology showed angles of the Black Stone that had never been seen before.
