According to ISPR Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Lahore Garrison where he was received by Corps Commander Lieutenant General Muhammad Abdul Aziz.
A statement issued by ISPR said that on the occasion of his visit to Lahore Garrison, the Army Chief met with officers and ex-servicemen in two separate interactive sessions.
On this occasion the Army Chief said that in any case, the army and the people will not tolerate any attempt to create a rift.
He said that the power of the army is with the people and the enemy forces have been trying to divide for a long time and they will not allow the enemy forces to succeed in their nefarious aims.
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa also visited Combined Military Hospital Lahore.
Army Chief visited Major Harris at the CMH and said that the law would take its course.
Army Chief said that no one could be allowed to take the law into their own hands and the arrested accused would be brought to justice.
Major Harris was beaten on Wednesday by guards of League leader Salman Rafique and Hafiz Noman, leaving him critically injured.
