One of the best actors in Pakistan’s showbiz industry, Talat Hussain, passed away today after a prolonged illness. His family and Ahmed Shah, the president of the Arts Council, confirmed his death.
Talat Hussain’s son, Ashar Hussain, stated that his father’s funeral prayers will be held after Asr prayer and he will be buried in the cemetery of Phase 8.
Ahmed Shah, president of the Arts Council of Pakistan, said that Talat Hussain was a great man who will be remembered for a long time. He was also a member of the Arts Council’s governing body. His passing is a significant loss as he was a student of literature, history, and arts.
Illness.
Sources reported that Talat Hussain was diagnosed with dementia, a disease causing brain inactivity, and his condition deteriorated to the point where he could no longer recognize people.
Due to smoking, his lungs had weakened and frequently filled with fluid, requiring multiple hospitalizations to drain the fluid from his lungs.
His illness confined him to a wheelchair and bed. He was receiving treatment at home as well. Recently, his daughter, Tazin Hussain, requested fans to pray for her father.
Career Beginnings.
Senior actor Talat Hussain started his acting career in 1970. After completing his education in London, he began acting with Pakistan Television and worked in British TV and Bollywood films as well.
Talat Hussain was renowned for his voice acting, performing in radio dramas and numerous commercial advertisements. He was awarded the Pride of Performance in 1982 and the Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 2021.
