Karachi :The moon of Sha’ban 1442 AH has appeared in the country. The first Sha’ban will be on Monday, March 15.

a meeting of the Central Route Hilal Committee was held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.

The meeting of the Ruwit Hilal Committee was attended by the members of the zonal committee. Evidence was collected from all over the country.

According to the committee, the moon of Sha’ban-ul-Mu’azzam has been sighted and the first Sha’ban will be on Monday, March 15, while Shab-e-Barat will be on Sunday, March 28.

The virtue of Shab-e-Barat

The fifteenth night of the month of Sha’ban is commonly called Shab-e-Barat, the night of acquittal. On this night, Muslims repent, renounce their sins, and be saved from Hell. According to some traditions, General forgiveness is announced and all their sins are forgiven. In this context, it was named Shab-e-Barat.

This night is also called Laylat al-Mubarakah, meaning the night of blessings, Laylat al-Suk, meaning the night of division of affairs, and Laylat al-Rahmat, meaning the night of revelation.
