Big upset, the Afghanistan team defeated the defending champion England by 69 runs.

The English batsmen failed badly in front of the Afghan bowlers. In pursuit of the target of 285 runs, the entire team returned to the pavilion on 215 runs.

Except for Harry Brooke, no batsman could resist, he stood out with 66 runs, David Mullan 32 runs while Adil Rashid managed to score 20 runs in the end.

The entire Afghanistan team was bowled out for 284 runs in 49.5 overs. On behalf of England, Adil Rasheed took 3 wickets and Mark Wood took 2 wickets.

This is England’s third defeat in three matches, while the Afghan team has opened the account of success for the first time in the World Cup.
