ISLAMABAD: Another Chinese company has expressed interest in clinical trials of the corona vaccine in Pakistan.

According to details, another Chinese company has contacted the Pakistani mission in Beijing and expressed its desire for clinical trials of corona vaccine in Pakistan.

The Chinese company has requested the Pakistani mission for cooperation in this regard.

A letter sent to the Pakistani mission said that Zafai Longcom is a local pharmaceutical company in the Chinese province of Inoue.
Who has developed the corona vaccine in collaboration with the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The company now wants clinical trials of a possible vaccine in Pakistan.

Clinical trials of the vaccine will be conducted in collaboration with a local pharma company. The company wants to move vaccines and test kits to Pakistan for trials.
The embassy should co-operate in the transfer of equipment from China to Pakistan.

In the letter, the Chinese company requested that customs clearance of equipment for clinical trials in Pakistan be done on priority basis.
On which the Foreign Ministry has sought the position of the concerned authorities.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani pharma company has also confirmed the proposed clinical trials with the Chinese company. Dr Ahmed Atif, a representative of the pharma company, said that preparations are underway for conducting vaccine clinical trials in Pakistan.

Dr. Ahmed Atif said that a formal application will be made to DRAP for clinical trials soon. It is hoped that DRAP will get permission for clinical trials of the vaccine soon.

It should be noted that clinical trials of Chinese company Ken Saino’s vaccine are already underway in Pakistan.
