Meng Wei, spokesperson of the Chinese National Development and Reform Commission, said this in an ongoing statement. He clarified that in the past nine years, 190,000 jobs have been created thanks to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, which is a pilot project of the Belt and Road Initiatives.
Continuing in his statement, he said that the Joint Cooperation Committee on CPEC (JCC), which focuses on cooperation in Gwadar Port energy infrastructure and industries, was established by China and Pakistan in 2013.
He said that the two countries are determined to further expand the cooperation by including the fields of agriculture, social development, improvement in the quality of life of the people, science and technology and information technology.
