Significant progress has been made in the case of digital cryptocurrency and in this regard a report has been submitted in the Sindh High Court that cryptocurrency is illegal and business in this currency cannot be allowed.
The court directed to send a report to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Law to review the legal aspects and remarked that the two ministries should take a final decision within three months and in case of imposition of ban, the court should be informed of the constitutional status of the ban.
Justice Agha remarked that legal framework should be prepared in case of permission to do business in the currency.
