Opposition’s amendments to the Finance Supplementary Bill clause were rejected by a majority. 150 votes were cast in favor of the amendments. 168 votes were cast against the amendment. The government had a majority of 18 members in the House at that time.
Opposition members, on the other hand, chanted anti-government slogans in the House.
