Ind Missile Strikes Claim 26 Pakistani Lives, 46 Injured.

Pakistan Retaliates.

Rawalpindi, May 7, 2025 The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that Indian forces carried out missile strikes on multiple locations in Pakistan overnight, resulting in civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure.

According to Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the attacks targeted six areas, killing 26 civilians and injuring 46 others. Among the sites hit were mosques and residential areas, with significant casualties reported in Ahmedpur East and Mureedke.

Civilian Casualties and Damage.
East Ahmedpur A strike on Masjid Subhan Allah killed 13, including two young girls, and wounded 37, with nine women among the injured.

Mureedke A mosque attack left three dead and one injured.

Muzaffarabad Three civilians were killed, including a girl and a boy who were injured.

Masjid Abbas kotli was struck, resulting in the deaths of a 16-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy, while a mother and another girl sustained injuries.

Pakistan’s Military Response.

The DG ISPR stated that Pakistan’s armed forces shot down five Indian aircraft and one drone including three Rafales, a MiG-29, and an SU jet. All Pakistani Air Force assets remained secure during the engagement.

Additionally, Pakistan retaliated by targeting an Indian brigade headquarters in response to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC).

Concerns Over Water Infrastructure.

The ISPR accused India of damaging the Noseri Dam part of the Neelum-Jhelum Hydro Power Project, calling it a “dangerous escalation” that threatens Pakistan’s water security. The military questioned whether such actions were permissible under international laws of war.

Aviation Risks and International Condemnation.

At the time of the attack 57 international flights were in Pakistani airspace, putting thousands of passengers at risk. The DG ISPR condemned India for endangering civilian lives, including foreign nationals.

Final Warning and Resolve.

The military spokesperson described India’s actions as cowardly conducted under the cover of darkness, and vowed that Pakistan would retaliate at a time and place of its choosing.

No one will be allowed to compromise Pakistan’s sovereignty, he declared, reaffirming the armed forces’ commitment to defending the nation.
