According to sources, the future of electronic voting machine will be decided in the light of the results of the pilot project while the Election Commission has approached the Ministry of Science and Technology for the pilot project.
According to Election Commission sources, about 70 machines will be provided for experimentation in local body elections.
Sources said that the Election Commission is awaiting the response of the Ministry of Science and Technology on the schedule of supply of machines.
