Dams hydropower projects started under the present government.

Work on nine of the 10 dams started by WAPDA has started from 2019, while work will start after the approval of one of the feasibility reports. Highlights of these dams and hydropower projects
Are as follows.

1- Total amount of 26 billion dollars will be spent
2- 9,200 MW of cheap electricity will be generated
3- 35,000 people have been provided jobs.

4- 11.7 lakh feet of water can be stored
5-16 lakh acres will be cultivated
In addition to employment, the farmers will be able to get annual income from the crops being cultivated.

Apart from WAPDA, under C-Pack, 2 dams will be completed by 2022 next year and work will be started on two more dams.

Thus, when the project is completed, the power shortage will be eliminated. And consumers will get cheaper electricity.

Forget cheap electricity until
Until Zardari’s contracts expire.
But with the reduction in the cost of hydropower, the reduction in the cost of surplus power will lead to cheaper electricity as a whole All major projects of the present government will be completed after the 2023 elections. Prime Minister Imran Khan had said that the leader thinks of the next generation and not of elections.
The 1124 MW capacity Kohala hydropower project under consideration will be completed in 2027, God willing.
