Cairo: Egyptian authorities will use centuries-old cannon to announce Sahar and Iftar.

According to a report by a foreign news agency, in many Islamic countries, including Egypt, the announcement of Sahar, Iftar and Eid has been a tradition of shelling with cannon. To maintain this tradition, the Egyptian authorities placed a cannon in the fort of Salahuddin Ayubi. Has been repaired.

The use of this cannon was abandoned thirty years ago due to a technical glitch, but now, according to tradition, the time will be announced for Sahar and Iftar by firing from this cannon.
Authorities have used state-of-the-art technology to repair it. The cannon emits far-sighted rays that can be seen at Sahar and Iftar.

Archaeologists say that for the first time in 1467, the process of announcing Sehri and Iftar by firing from this cannon began, but various traditions are also connected with it.

The first tradition is that this cannon was placed in the fort during the reign of King Khashkdam of the country and it was first fired in 1467 for the announcement of Iftar, to the astonishment and joy of the people.

Another tradition is that this cannon was used by Khudaiwi Ismail’s soldiers for exercises, and at that time the first bullet was fired from this cannon in Ramadan at sunset. Al-Hajja Fatima, the daughter of Khudaiwi Ismail, used this cannon for Iftar and Sahar Advised to use it for regular announcement after which Eid Sahar and Iftar announcement was started by firing cannon.
