T20 World Cup, Afghanistan defeated Uganda in the Super Over.

This Group C match was played in Providence, Rhode Island, USA, where Uganda won the toss and decided to field first. In response, the Afghan team scored 183 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.

Afghanistan’s openers Rahmatullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran provided a fantastic start to the team by building a partnership of 154 runs. Ibrahim Zadran scored 70 runs off 46 balls with the help of 1 six and 9 fours and was dismissed by Masaba.

Rahmatullah Gurbaz scored 76 runs off 45 balls with the help of 4 sixes and 4 fours. Najibullah Zadran managed to score only 2 runs, while Gulbadin Naib scored 4 and Azmatullah Omarzai scored 5 runs. Mohammad Nabi remained not out with 14 runs off 16 balls, and captain Rashid Khan remained not out with 2 runs off one ball.

For Uganda, Brian Masaba and Cosmas Kyewuta took two wickets each, while Alpesh Ramajani took one wicket.

Uganda’s entire team was bowled out for 58 runs in 16 overs, giving Afghanistan a victory by a huge margin of 125 runs. Fazalhaq Farooqi took five wickets, Naveen-ul-Haq and Rashid Khan took two wickets each, and Mujeeb Ur Rahman took one wicket for Afghanistan.
