A blast in Anarkali area of Lahore killed two people and injured several others.

The blast near Anar Kali Pan Mandi injured 20 people and left three dead

Police several people were injured in the blast. The injured have been shifted to local hospital by Rescue 1122. blast was very powerful that it shattered the windows of nearby buildings.

Four injured have been shifted to Mayo Hospital.

Hospital sources confirmed the deaths of two people and said that the dead included a 9-year-old child, identified as Zeeshan, while the other deceased was identified as Muhammad Ramzan son of Muhammad. Named after Botha.

Sources said that a pit had been dug at the site of the blast and forensic teams were gathering evidence.

Police confirmed the blast in the area, saying a planted bomb had been planted near the shops, which exploded and caused a pit about a foot and a half deep.

The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a private bank near the Anarkali Bazaar.

DIG Operations Dr Abid confirmed that 20 people were injured in the blast and said that a preliminary investigation has been started into the incident.
