ISLAMABAD: The federal government has intensified work on ongoing projects costing billions to lay a network of roads and national highways across the country.

According to the details, three times more national highways have been approved than the previous governments, after which a network of roads is being laid.
Work has also been speeded up on the main highways of the western route of the C-Pack. A video has also been released in this regard.

The Ministry of Communications, Murad Saeed, released the latest figures and a video of the launch of new projects in which he said that three times more roads and motorways have been approved than the previous two governments.

He further said that 2047 km of roads have been constructed as compared to last 7 years and the present government has approved more than 6000 km of roads.
Work has started on several projects. Work on 12 projects will start in three months. Construction of 3083 km roads has also started in Balochistan.

He said that the Prime Minister had inaugurated the Khuzdar Bismillah and M8 projects at a cost of Rs. 56 billion.

Murad Saeed said that he was ready to give complete data on where and how long highways we are constructing. Work on Quetta Bypass and Dera Murad Jamali project will also start next month. Dara Adamkhel road project will be completed in the first week of next month. The Lodhran road from Multan will also start next month.
