Karachi: PIA plane PK 306 near Nawabshah was struck by lightning.

A PIA spokesman said that the captain felt that there was a lightning strike on the right side. After the plane landed at Lahore Airport, the engineers inspected it and found no signs of lightning strike on the plane.

According to a PIA spokesman, after clearing the plane, flight PK307 was diverted from Lahore to Karachi.

It may be recalled that on Friday, May 22 last year, a PIA plane coming from Lahore to Karachi crashed on the residential population of Model Colony Jinnah Garden near the airport, killing 97 passengers and miraculously 2 passengers. Were saved.
