This new laptop, created by the Chinese company Lenovo, features solar panels installed on its exterior surface, which have the capability to charge the device when exposed to outdoor light.
Set to be showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona from March 3 to 6, this new Yoga Solar PC, according to the company, can achieve one hour of any video playback with just 20 minutes of sunlight.
This ‘ultra-thin’ laptop is only 15 millimeters thick and weighs 1.22 kilograms.
Currently, this laptop is being presented as a conceptual product, but it may soon be available in the market.
Regarding the laptop, Lenovo states that its aim is to provide users with a productive workspace anywhere, whether indoors or outdoors.
The solar cells are mounted on the top surface of the laptop where the screen is located, and Lenovo claims that these panels have a light-to-electricity conversion rate of up to 24 percent.
