The Dubai T20 World Cup started today in the United Arab Emirates and Oman.

Today, the first match will be between Papua New Guinea and host Oman in Muscat, while the second match will be between Bangladesh and Scotland at the same ground.

The ninth and tenth ranked teams in the first round of the T20 World Cup will feature Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and six qualifiers.

This phase will continue from October 17 to 22 and four of these teams will join the other top 8 teams in the Super 12, after which the Super 12 battle will start from October 23.

The West Indies will defend the title in the T20 World Cup 2021. The unit will run for the next four weeks and the champions will be decided on November 14.

India was supposed to host the T20 World Cup 2021 but due to the Corona virus situation, the Indian Cricket Board decided to relocate the unit to the United Arab Emirates.
