On the issue of sealing the house of National Assembly member Dr Amir Liaqat Hussain, police officials said that the house would remain sealed till the completion of police investigation. A forensic report of the crime scene is awaited.
Officials said that so far we have not received any claimant of the house or property. The house will be handed over to the real heir of Amir Liaquat.
Police said that complete data of late Dr Amir Liaqat has been obtained from NADRA.
In the NADRA record, the divorce certificate of the first wife Bushra and the divorce certificate of the second wife Tobi are on the record while the divorce certificate of the third wife Dania is not registered.
Police said that Dania had filed khula in the court of Bahawalpur. The record will be updated only after the degree of khula and divorce is finalized.
Amir Liaquat’s son offered his father’s funeral prayers after which he was laid to rest in the premises of Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s mausoleum. Amir liaquat funeral prayers were attended by MQM leaders, Farooq Sattar and other social figures.
Amir Liaqat was found dead in his home yesterday, after which he was shifted to a hospital where doctors confirmed his death.
