Islamabad United defeated Gladiators in the tenth match of Karachi Pakistan Super League season seven.

Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss and elected to field first in the match played at National Stadium Karachi.

Playing first, Islamabad United scored 229 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Colin Monroe remained prominent by scoring 71 runs.

In pursuit of the target of 230 runs, Quetta Gladiators scored 186 runs while Ehsan Ali scored 50 runs for Banaski Gladiators.

Paul Sterling and Alex Hills started batting for Islamabad United but Alex Hales was dismissed for 22 off 9 balls with the help of five fours.

Paul Sterling played a brilliant innings of 58 off 28 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 7 fours while captain Shadab Khan scored only 9 runs.

Monroe batted aggressively and remained unbeaten on 72 off 39 balls while Azam Khan scored 65 off 35 balls with six sixes and two fours.

Muhammad Nawaz of Gladiators took two wickets while Shahid Afridi and James took one wicket each.

For Quetta Gladiators, opener Ehsan Ali scored 50 and all-rounder Muhammad Nawaz scored 47. Apart from that, James Faulkner scored 30 and captain Sarfraz scored 11.

For Islamabad, Shadab Khan bowled brilliantly and took 5 wickets while Hassan Ali and Mohammad Waseem took 2 wickets each.
