ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister has launched the first phase of a uniform national curriculum across the country.

According to details, Prime Minister Imran Khan, while speaking on the occasion, said that his idea was to bring uniform curriculum in the country and end class education system.
He said that at present there are three curricula in the world while different curricula are being taught in Pakistan for the students of public and private educational institutions and madrassas.

PM said that uniform curriculum would give a direction to our youth and get rid of the invasion of foreign cultures. It has also been decided.
He asked the Education Minister to implement a uniform curriculum for these classes in the next five to six months after consultation. The PM said that minorities would also be given an opportunity to learn their religions.

Speaking on the occasion, Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood said that the first phase of uniform national curriculum is being implemented in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. He termed the introduction of uniform national curriculum as a major step towards eradicating injustice in the society.
