According to details, a meeting of the National Command and Operations Center was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Asad Umar in which federal and provincial officials briefed the NCOC on the situation in Corona.

It was informed in the briefing that the number of positive corona cases has been decreasing for the last 5 days and the number of ventilators available for corona is being increased across the country. 103 more ventilators have been allocated for corona.

The briefing said that the total number of ventilators allotted for Corona across the country is 1503. In view of the need of hospitals, procurement of ventilators is underway on an emergency basis.
By the end of July, another 1,500 liters will be available in the country.

It was informed in the meeting that 2150 oxygen beds are being procured to reduce the burden on hospitals. Azad Kashmir will be provided 60 oxygen beds, Balochistan 200 additional Islamabad beds, 450 Gilgit-Baltistan 40 additional KPs, 400 Sindh and Punjab 500 additional oxygen beds. ۔

According to the briefing, the corona testing capacity in the country has increased 65 times. By the end of July, the daily corona testing capacity will be one lakh.

It may be recalled that during the last 24 hours, 4,944 new cases were reported in the country and 136 patients died, after which the number of patients under treatment increased to 1450 while so far 61,003 people have recovered.
