ISLAMABAD: The National Security Council (NSC) has not blocked the way for talks.

Talking to media, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said that the national security meeting lasted for two hours and the entire situation was discussed in the meeting.

He said that the doors of negotiations with TLP have not been closed yet but we have to uphold the writ of the state, protect the lives and property of the people and wish that the issues be resolved amicably. Will be released

Sheikh Rashid said that he and Noor-ul-Haq Qadri are holding talks with Tehreek-e-Libek and if necessary, I will hold a short press conference.

The meeting was attended by DG IB and Finance Advisor Shaukat Tareen while DG ISI Faiz Hameed was also present.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi DGMO was also part of the National Security Committee meeting. Information Minister Defense Khattak, Naval Chief Amjad Khan Niazi, Air Chief Zaheer Ahmed Babar and Interior Minister were also present in the meeting.
