ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) today convened an important meeting after the Prime Minister addressed the nation.

According to ECP sources, the Election Commission of Pakistan has convened a meeting to review the Senate election issues, which will be chaired by the Chief Election Commissioner.

According to sources, the meeting will also review the statement of Prime Minister Imran Khan and government objections.

It is to be noted that after the upset in the Senate elections, the federal ministers had issued a joint press conference and individual statements of which the Election Commission has taken notice.

It may be recalled that Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed the nation today regarding the Senate elections in which he apprised the people of the whole situation.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had also issued a charge sheet against the Election Commission of Pakistan for not maintaining transparency in the Senate elections.

The Prime Minister had questioned the performance of the Election Commission and said that the Supreme Court had given you a chance but what was the reason that bar coding could not be done on 1500 ballot papers. Damaged I had already pointed out the money transaction before the Senate election.
