Islamabad IMF will provide one billion dollars to Pakistan.

Talking to media along with Federal Minister for Energy Hamad Azhar, Finance Advisor Shaukat Tareen said that talks have been agreed between Pakistan and IMF.

He said that discussions were being held with the IMF but this one staff agreement has been successfully concluded. They have given us.

Shaukat Tareen said that the IMF has in a way acknowledged that despite the code, the government of Pakistan is continuing its economic growth and is successfully pursuing the reform agenda.

He said that prudence and financial discipline in improving the electricity tariff system are some of the important steps that would help the country to build on solid economic foundations.

Hamad AzharTalking to media said that the tariff on electricity will have to be increased in a few months.

Hamad Azhar said that after the agreement with the IMF, the economic situation will improve and in a few months, electricity prices may have to go up.
