ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister Murad Saeed has fulfilled the long standing demand of the people of Swat after 17 years.

PIA CEO Arshad Malik had a meeting with Federal Minister Murad Saeed in which he said that after 17 years, he has announced to start flights at Saidu Sharif Airport in Swat. Arrangements are complete in this regard. Sharif will land at the airport.

Federal Minister Murad Saeed termed the decision as a welcome development for the promotion of regional tourism while also announcing the good news of international flights for the residents of Malakand Division.

Murad Saeed said that in the first phase, domestic flights will be launched in the second phase. Before the international flights, the airport will be expanded in accordance with international standards. The decision will greatly benefit regional tourism and facilitate tourists.

The Federal Minister said that promotion of easy communication was essential under the vision of the Prime Minister. I am grateful to CEO PIA Arshad Malik and Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar.

He said that after 17 years, he was happy to meet the long standing demand of the people of the region. It would be a historic and memorable occasion for the people of Swat.
