Islamabad Economic Coordination Committee has approved electric bikes and e-rickshaw scheme.

A meeting of ECC was held today under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, in which electric bikes and e-rickshaw schemes were approved.

Loans will be given for e-bikes and rickshaws under the Prime Minister’s Youth Business and Agricultural Loan Scheme. The Ministry of Finance said that a loan of up to 5 lakh rupees will be given for the tier one category.

An increase in guarantee for PIA’s loan of Rs 15 billion 60 crore was also approved. According to ECC, the guarantee limit for PIA was increased to Rs 263 billion 23 crore. The limit was 247 billion 63 crore rupees.

Sugar Mills Association also approved the supply of 20,000 metric tons of sugar, during Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr, sugar will be purchased at the rate of Rs. 95 per kg. This sugar will be sold to the public at the district level by the Punjab government. ECC has also directed such arrangements in other provinces.

Supplementary grant of Rs.261.11 lakhs to the Ministry of Housing, Rs.142.5 crores grant to the Ministry of National Health, Rs.25 crores grant for the repair of the Supreme Court building and residences of judges, electricity bill dues to the Ministry of External Affairs.
