ISLAMABAD: A pilot project of digital franchise post offices is being launched in the country from tomorrow

Institutions are moving towards innovation under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Revolutionary change is also about to begin in the traditional system of Pakistan Post. In this regard, a pilot project of digital franchise post offices will start from tomorrow.

Digital franchise post offices will provide the best facilities through modern technology. These digital franchises will provide more than 200 financial services to the customers. Payment of bills and school fees will also be possible for money transfer at home and abroad.

Through this facility, customers will also be able to order essential items from utility stores at home. Full tracking of shipped goods and online tracing will be possible. In three years, 125,000 digital franchise post offices will be opened.

The project will provide direct employment to 2.5 lakh people. Under the pilot project, 50 franchise post offices will be operational from tomorrow. Initially, starting kits will be available for only Rs 1.5 lakh.

The digital franchise will operate through an online portal and a mobile app. These post offices will also provide value-added service to customers.
