Pakistan’s famous nuclear scientist, the creator of the Pakistani atomic bomb was born on April 1, 1936, in Bhopal, India, to an Urdu-speaking Pashtun family.

He died on October 10, 2021.

AQ Khan returned to Pakistan in 1976 after living in Europe for 15 years, studying at the Technical University of West Berlin, the University of Delft in Netherlands and the University of Leuven in Belgium.

AQ Khan participated in the Pakistani nuclear program of Engineering Research Laboratories on May 31, 1976 at the invitation of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto after obtaining Masters of Science from the Netherlands and Doctorate of Engineering from Belgium.

Later, the name of this institute was changed by former President of Pakistan General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq on May 1,1981 to Dr. AQ Khan Research Laboratories. This institute has a prominent position in uranium enrichment in Pakistan.

Dr AQ Khan also founded a seminary called Kixit in November 2000.

While inspecting modern conventional missiles, Abdul Qadeer Khan was prosecuted by the Dutch government for mistakenly stealing important information, but when professors from the Netherlands, Belgium, Britain and Germany reviewed the allegations, they acquitted Abdul Qadeer Khan. Recommending that the information on which the case has been filed for theft is in the public books, after which the Dutch Supreme Court honorably acquitted him.

Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was infected with Corona virus on August 26, 2021 after which he was admitted to Kahuta Research Laboratory Hospital. However, a few days later, he regained his composure and was transferred back to his home.

In a video released to the media on September 11, he said that he had recovered but was taken to the hospital again in the morning where he could not recover.

He was arrested in 2004 after pleading guilty to alleged transfer of nuclear technology and spent five years in detention.

However, he did not appear at public ceremonies after the court order was lifted in 2009.

After 9/11, former General President Musharraf decided to detain him in view of the safety of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, on which Mohsin Pakistan was very angry. Pakistan was under intense American pressure at that time. But our intelligence adopted the best strategy and kept Mohsin Pakistan under its protection.

Mohsin Pakistan was a renowned nuclear scientist who worked tirelessly for the motherland in a very short span of eight years by installing a nuclear plant to the amazement of world renowned Nobel Prize winning scientists and to defend Pakistan. Even the enemies of Pakistan today cannot dare to look down on the motherland.

The good deeds of the late Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan on Pakistan cannot be forgotten by the entire nation till the Day of Judgment.
