According to a foreign news agency, the Indian Air Force has confirmed the death of General Bipin Rawat in a helicopter crash.

In a tweet on the social networking site Twitter, the Indian Air Force wrote that General Bipin Rawat, his wife and 11 others were killed in the helicopter crash.

It may be recalled that the military helicopter of Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat had crashed in the state of Tamil Nadu. According to the Indian News Agency, General Bipin Rawat’s crew and some members of his family were also on board the helicopter.

According to Indian media, a military helicopter flew to Wellington from the Indian Air Force base in Coimbatore.

The Indian Air Force also confirmed on social media that Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat’s Mi-17V5 helicopter had crashed.
