Shagufta Ijaz said that with the advent of streaming websites and platforms, the content has improved but it is not as fun as it used to be.
He said that now the same stories are being made and women are given weaker roles including being given the role of compelled woman.
Shagufta Ijaz said that in the past people used to wait for many hours for the play of their favorite actor but today it does not happen.
He said that the importance of awards can be gauged from the fact that if any actor is nominated then he is under pressure to participate in the show otherwise he is not given any award.
He further said that in today’s awards shows, the actors of PTV era are not invited and they are not given awards because they are far from glamorous.
