ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has indicted Shahbaz Sharif and his family for not accounting for assets worth over Rs 7 billion.

According to details, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has filed a report in the Lahore Accountability Court (LAC) against former Punjab Chief Minister and PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif and his family for creating assets in excess of their income. And charged other members of his family.
The documents presented in the court state that the assets of Shahbaz Sharif and his family were worth Rs. 21 lakhs in 1990 which increased to Rs. 148 lakhs in 1998 while in 2009 they inherited Ramzan Sugar Mill which The shares were worth Rs 134 million.
According to court documents, 13 companies were set up by Shahbaz Sharif during this period, while four anonymous companies were set up.
The individual said that in 2018, the assets of the PML-N president had increased from Rs 15 million to Rs 1 billion and this profit or income is normal but after 2018, the assets of Shahbaz Sharif and his family are non-existent. There was a slight increase worth more than Rs. 6 billion.
The indictment states that the declared assets of Shahbaz Sharif and his family till 1998 were worth Rs. 14.8 million.
The report states that Shahbaz Sharif, after becoming the Chief Minister in 2008, built seven properties worth Rs 471 million, which are named after Nusrat Shahbaz, Tehmina Durrani, Shahbaz Sharif, Hamza Shahbaz and Suleiman Shahbaz, while worth Rs 2.1 billion. 14 companies are also owned by Shahbaz Sharif and his family.
Sources said that the court has declared Shahbaz Sharif’s son Suleiman Shahbaz and his wife Nusrat Shahbaz as fugitives while also demanding an account of assets worth Rs 6 billion from Shahbaz Sharif and other members of his family.
