A statement issued by Major General Babar Iftikhar, Director General, Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), said that Pakistan’s ballistic missile Shaheen-1A had been successfully tested. Holds and can hit targets up to 900 km.

DG ISPR said that various technical parameters of the missile were successfully tested in the experiment.

President Arif Ali, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chiefs of Services congratulated the scientists and engineers on the successful test of Shaheen-1A ballistic missile.

It may be recalled that last month also Pakistan had successfully tested the Babar cruise missile. The Babar cruise missile was tested by a multi-tube missile launch vehicle.

The ISPR said the Babar cruise missile has a range of 450 km and is capable of hitting targets at sea.
