Federal Cabinet Approves amendment to NAB Ordinance.

According to sources, the federal cabinet has approved amendments to the NAB ordinance through a circulation summary.
Following the approval of the Federal Cabinet, the draft NAB Ordinance is likely to be sent to President Dr. Arif Alvi by this evening.
Sources said that the ordinance is likely to be issued by President Dr Arif Ali today.

The Chairman clarified the unequivocal position of the Prime Minister on the issue of NAB to the Law Minister and the Attorney General.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he will not consult the Leader of the Opposition for the appointment of Chairman NAB.

It should be noted that the NAB Amendment Ordinance 2021 has been drafted.

A total of 11 provisions of the NAB Act will be amended, including a reduction in the powers of the National Accountability Bureau.
