The sit-in by the survivors of the Machh tragedy in Quetta yesterday was called off after the demands were approved and the participants of the sit-in decided to bury the martyrs after the demands were accepted. The family members had announced to continue the sit-in till the arrival of the Prime Minister while Prime Minister Imran Khan appealed to the families of the martyrs for burial. Later, a government negotiating team led by Chief Minister Jam Kamal held talks with the families and martyrs committee at the site of the sit-in in Quetta, after which the heirs of the martyrs gave permission for burial of the dead. The demands have been met.
