Colombo: This is the first visit of the Prime Minister to Sri Lanka since he took over the post of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

According to details, Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Sri Lanka on a two-day official visit, accompanied by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi Abdul Razzaq Dawood and Special Assistant Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari.

On arrival in Colombo, the Sri Lankan counterpart received the Prime Minister of Pakistan on the red carpet at the airport while a reception was also held in his honor in which Imran Khan was saluted with cannons.

At the reception, the national anthems of both the countries were played and a guard of honor was presented to Prime Minister Imran Khan while Sri Lankan troops also saluted the Prime Minister.

This is the first visit of PM Imran Khan to Sri Lanka since he took office at the Colombo Airport.

Remember that Imran Khan is visiting Sri Lanka at the invitation of Prime Minister Mahinda Raja. Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Sri Lanka will consist of 2 days. During the visit, PM Imran Khan will meet the Sri Lankan President and his counterpart. Bilateral cooperation will be discussed on other issues while memoranda of understanding will be signed between the two countries on various issues.

The PM will also attend the Joint Trade and Investment Conference. Pakistan and Sri Lanka have a strong bond of friendship since 1948. The visit will be helpful in promoting cooperation between the two countries.
