Caution is needed on Eid. Asad Umar appeals to the people to implement SOPs.

According to details, Federal Minister for Planning and Head of NCOC Asad Umar along with Dr Faisal Sultan in a media briefing said that extreme caution is needed on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. There are growing fears of an Indian-style outbreak.
Corona spreads rapidly in India. The risk of corona is 7 times higher for non-vaccinators, but the vaccine can reduce the risk. The only solution to avoid corona is to implement SOPs. “People who have not been vaccinated should not go to tourist places during the Eid holidays. If you have not been vaccinated, you will be stopped at recreational places,” he added.

Asad Omar did not mention the start of the fourth wave of Corona and the lockdown during the Eid al-Adha holidays, but he insisted on vaccinations and SOPs.

He said that 22.1 million people in Pakistan have been vaccinated and the number of vaccinations in a day is more than 500,000. Dr. Faisal Sultan said that about 2500 cases are being reported daily and the rate of positive cases in Karachi. Dr. Faisal appealed to the people to wear masks and not to go in crowds.

It may be mentioned that according to the latest data released by the National Command and Operations Center, 31 more people have died in the last 24 hours in the country while 2327 cases have been reported.
The total number of deaths in the country has reached 22,720, while the total number of affected people has reached 983,719. Rate of the positive cases in the country has reached 6.17% at a time.
