Doha: A historic agreement between the United States and the Taliban has been reached for peace in Afghanistan.

Addressing the ceremony, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that today is the day for victory of peace. The role of Special Zalmay Khalilzad, representative for the peace deal, is commendable. He said the US urges all sides to focus their attention on sustainable peace in Afghanistan. All Afghans have the right to live in peace and prosperity. Durable stability is possible only by listening to the voices of all classes. The bill has to be decided.

Speaking at the ceremony, senior Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Ghani said that the peace agreement between the US and the Taliban is welcomed by the Mujahid nation of Afghanistan and the international community. Establish bilateral relations with other countries and the global community.

Mullah Abdul Ghani said, “I hope that after the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan, the Afghan nation will be the foundation of development under the Islamic system.” I urge all Afghan factions to take all differences seriously and honestly. Ignore and create a common Islamic system that will lead to the country’s development. The Afghan Taliban leader acknowledged Pakistan’s role in overcoming obstacles to the peace deal and expressed gratitude.

Addressing the ceremony, Qatar’s Foreign Minister said that Doha understands that providing a conducive environment for peace in Afghanistan is a joint responsibility of the international community, including the stakeholders. He said the peace deal was possible as a result of the phased negotiations, while the role of all parties in finalizing the agreement was praiseworthy. ۔
