Troops from the three armed forces and other security forces took part in the march past during the Pakistan Day parade, while warplanes performed spectacular aerial stunts.
As soon as the Pakistan Day Parade started, the atmosphere resounded with the slogans of Takbir and modern defense equipment was displayed in the parade.
Civil-military leadership and foreign dignitaries are participating in the parade. Delegations from the four provinces of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir are also participating.
Mobile services were suspended in the twin cities during the parade, while Islamabad and Rawalpindi remained public holidays.
It may be recalled that the Pakistan Day parade was postponed on March 23 due to inclement weather.
