Tomato Cups Bonda Crispy South Indian Snack at Home.

🥣 Ingredients (English)

Large tomatoes – 4

Gram flour (besan) – 1 cup

Rice flour – 2 tbsp

Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp

Green chilies (finely chopped) – 1

Red chili powder – ½ tsp

Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp

Cumin seeds – ½ tsp

Salt – to taste

Water – as required

Oil – for deep frying

Fresh coriander – chopped

👩‍🍳 Method (English)

  1. Cut the top of tomatoes and gently scoop out the pulp to make tomato cups.
  2. In a bowl, mix gram flour, rice flour, spices, salt, ginger-garlic paste, and water to make a thick batter.
  3. Fill each tomato cup with the prepared batter.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan.
  5. Carefully drop the filled tomato cups into hot oil.
  6. Fry until golden and crispy.
  7. Remove and drain excess oil.
  8. Garnish with coriander and serve hot with chutney.
