Tomato Cups Bonda Crispy South Indian Snack at Home.
🥣 Ingredients (English)
Large tomatoes – 4
Gram flour (besan) – 1 cup
Rice flour – 2 tbsp
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp
Green chilies (finely chopped) – 1
Red chili powder – ½ tsp
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
Salt – to taste
Water – as required
Oil – for deep frying
Fresh coriander – chopped
👩🍳 Method (English)
- Cut the top of tomatoes and gently scoop out the pulp to make tomato cups.
- In a bowl, mix gram flour, rice flour, spices, salt, ginger-garlic paste, and water to make a thick batter.
- Fill each tomato cup with the prepared batter.
- Heat oil in a deep pan.
- Carefully drop the filled tomato cups into hot oil.
- Fry until golden and crispy.
- Remove and drain excess oil.
- Garnish with coriander and serve hot with chutney.
