Ouyang Ziwan, the founder of China’s lunar exploration program, says that India’s claim of reaching the south pole of the moon is false.
He said that the landing site of Chandrayaan 3 was at an angle of 69 degrees on the southern latitude and India said 88.5 and 90 degrees even though Chandrayaan 3 was far from these angles.
In an interview with the Chinese newspaper Science Time, Ouyang Ziwan said that the landing site of Chandrayaan-3 was not on the south pole of the Moon, nor was it in the area, not even close to the south pole. It was 619 kilometers away.
