Finance Minister Muftah Ismail praised the Imran Khan government’s tax collection measures.

In a statement issued on Twitter, Muftah Ismail said that the FBR has so far collected more than Rs 51 trillion in taxes. The FBR team is performing beyond the expectations of the nation.

Finance Minister wrote that the rate of accumulated revenue has increased by 28.7% till April this year as against Rs 39.8 billion tax collected till April last financial year.

He said that the main reason for the increase in tax collection of Rs 264 billion refunded till April this financial year was increasing imports.

Reacting to the tweet of Finance Minister Muftah Ismail Ex Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen said that Muftah Bhai! If the FBR had done a good job, they would not have removed the chairman.

Shahbaz government had immediately removed the chairman FBR appointed by the Imran government.
