Ingredients:
4 medium potatoes
1 cup gram flour (besan)
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (maida)
1 teaspoon red chili powder
½ teaspoon cumin powder
½ teaspoon coriander powder
A pinch of turmeric powder
¼ teaspoon garam masala
½ teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
Salt to taste
¼ teaspoon baking powder
Chaat masala for sprinkling
Oil for deep frying
Instructions:
- Slice the potatoes into round slices and soak them in warm water.
- In a bowl, mix all ingredients except for the oil to prepare the batter.
- Heat oil in a deep pan.
- Use a cloth to squeeze out excess water from the potato slices.
- Dip the potato slices in the batter.
- Deep fry in the hot oil until they turn golden brown.
- Serve with a sprinkle of chaat masala, ketchup, and green chutney.
