Stunning Testy Potato Fritters.

Ingredients:

4 medium potatoes

1 cup gram flour (besan)

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (maida)

1 teaspoon red chili powder

½ teaspoon cumin powder

½ teaspoon coriander powder

A pinch of turmeric powder

¼ teaspoon garam masala

½ teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)

Salt to taste

¼ teaspoon baking powder

Chaat masala for sprinkling

Oil for deep frying

Instructions:

  1. Slice the potatoes into round slices and soak them in warm water.
  2. In a bowl, mix all ingredients except for the oil to prepare the batter.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan.
  4. Use a cloth to squeeze out excess water from the potato slices.
  5. Dip the potato slices in the batter.
  6. Deep fry in the hot oil until they turn golden brown.
  7. Serve with a sprinkle of chaat masala, ketchup, and green chutney.
