Pakistan’s famous actor Shakeel was laid to rest in the cemetery of Defense area of Karachi with sighs and sobs, before his funeral prayers were offered at Sultan Masjid.
Apart from relatives and friends, Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori, personalities from the showbiz industry, Behruz Sabz Wari, Khalid Anam Faisal Qureshi and others also participated in the funeral prayer and burial of the deceased.
Actor Shakeel, who ruled the TV screen for years thanks to his amazing acting, passed away at the age of 85 in a hospital in Karachi yesterday.
Shakeel, whose real name was Yusuf Kamal, was born on May 29, 1938 in Bhopal. He was an association in his own right, whose death closed a chapter in the world of TV and film.
Who ruled the television screen for decades, also acted in films and played the role of Liaquat Ali Khan, the first prime minister of Pakistan, in the English film Jinnah.
