The playoff phase of PSL 5 will start from today

KARACHI: The play-off phase of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Five will start eight months later today at the National Stadium in Karachi.

According to the details, the teams of Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings will meet in the first qualifier in Pakistan Super League at 3 o’clock while the teams of Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi will face each other in Elementron at 8 o’clock in the night.

Preparations for all the teams have been completed. The Multan Sultans have Shahid Afridi, captain Shaun Masood and Mohammad Irfan among the local players The foreign players of Multan Sultans include English cricketers Adam Laith, Joey Danley and Ravi Bopara, while South African star league spinner Imran Tahir and PSL 5 century maker Riley Russo.

The foreign players of Karachi Kings include English star cricketer Alex Hales, South African players Cameron Delport and Wayne Parnell while West Indian players Chadwick Walton and Rutherford. Local players include Babar Azam, Emad Wasim and fast bowler Mohammad Amir, captains of the Pakistani team in all three formats. The Lahore Qalandars’ foreign players include Australian cricketer Ben Dunk, Bangladesh’s Tamim Iqbal, South Africa’s David Wiese and Dan Villas and English cricketer Sammat Patel.

Peshawar Zalmai’s foreign players include West Indian cricketer Carlos Berthwaite, South African cricketer Faf du Plessis and fast bowler Hards Weljoin and English bowler Saqib Mahmood.

Rameez Raja, Waqar Younis, Bazid Jan and Jonty Rhodes will comment on the remaining matches of PSL Five, while England’s Dominic Cork and Mark Bucker are also on the commentary panel.
It is to be noted that the PSL Five matches postponed in March this year due to corona virus will be played on November 14, 15 and 17 at the National Stadium Karachi. The match of Eliminator Two is scheduled on Sunday, November 15. The final of the event will be played on Tuesday, November 17 at the National Stadium Karachi.
