Islamabad: The first Corona virus-infected patient died in Pakistan during treatment, which was approved by the Gilgit-Baltistan government.

A spokesman for the government confirmed Corona’s first death, saying the man died was ninety years old and belonged to the Chalas area of ​​Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to government spokesman Faizullah Faraq, the patient had a pneumonia and was suffering from severe fever, doctors also performed tests to diagnose the disease. He said the number of people affected by Corona in Gilgit-Baltistan has risen to thirteen.

Dr. Zafar Mirza, Assistant Special Health Officer, provided updates on Karuna in his tweet on the social networking site. He said that the number of corona patients has reached 247 nationwide, 7 cases were reported in the federal capital, 9 in Punjab, 183 in Sindh, 19 cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said that 15 cases of Corona in Balochistan, one in Azad Kashmir and 13 in Gilgit-Baltistan were reported. Zafar Mirza added that the government is taking emergency measures related to the Karuna virus.
