Shahid Afridi appeals to PM to cut taxes on food items

LAHORE: Former Pakistani cricket star Shahid Afridi has appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan to exempt food and beverage items from taxation so that people can get relief.
Former cricket star Shahid Afridi said in a message on the social networking site Twitter that the current crisis caused by the Corona virus has appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan that the food items currently exempt from taxation. The general public will be able to benefit from the reduction of prices of these goods.

Due to the current crisis, Prime Minister Imran Khan has appealed that the food items should be declared as tax-free at present so that the general public can benefit from the reduction in prices of these goods. We must all play our part in this pandemic situation.

It should be noted that the number of corona cases across the country has reached 1526. Eleven of the Corona virus cases are critical, while 28 people have been completely recovered from the Corona virus.

It is to be noted that the number of cases in Punjab has increased beyond Sindh. The number of Corona cables in Punjab has reached 558. The number of Corona cies in Sindh was 481, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 188, Balochistan 138 and 43 cases in Islamabad.
